This project represents the importance that social media has on children and how this culture defines the perfect body size and weight. Children and adults all over the world, not just the United States are struggling with their weight because of how social media perceives the perfect weight and size. This project was thought of when I discovered my own struggles with my weight and how it would affect my mental health extremely. After speaking to others, I realized that this problem wasn't just occurring with me but with others. There is lots of research that was found to show how mental health is very connected to your body mass. As well as other factors that affect your mental health like different sizing charts by manufacturers, shopping boutiques rather than mall stores, or stores that are not inclusive and the main one being social media. I tried to bring awareness of this issue through posters, infographics, clothes and packaging.
